PROFILE

Dr Jonna Vuoskoski’s research is situated in the interdisciplinary field of music psychology. Her current research project investigates how visual and auditory cues contribute to audience’s perception of a musical performance. Collaborators in this project include professor Eric Clarke (Faculty of Music, University of Oxford), professor Charles Spence (Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Oxford), and Dr. Marc Thompson (Department of Music, University of Jyväskylä).

Jonna received her doctorate in 2012 from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, where she was affiliated with the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Interdisciplinary Music Research. Her doctoral research investigated the role of individual differences in music-induced emotions. Her research findings have been published in the leading journals of the field, including Music Perception, Psychology of Music, Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity and the Arts, and Cortex.
