David Rothenberg (Professor of Music and Philosophy, New Jersey Institute of Technology)

Professor Rothenberg is a musician, composer, author and philosopher-naturalist. He has written extensively on the relationship between music, science and the natural world, including 'Why Birds Sing', 'Thousand Mile Song', and 'Survival of the Beautiful'. He has also released many CDs, including improvised music playing with birds and whales, and his work has been made into a feature length BBC documentary. His current book, 'Bug Music' is due to be released in 2013.
