Computing
Computing facilities are available to individual students in three locations: the Students' Common Room, the Music Library and the Graduate Centre.
The Faculty uses the Sibelius music desktop processing system for producing professional-quality printed scores. Sibelius is available in the Studio, the Music Library, and the Graduate Centre. The Faculty can also provide access via Virtual Private Network to a Sibelius network license for students on campus - see here for details. Additional music specific computing facilities are available in the Studio suite which provides access to recording and sound processing software (including Pro Tools, Logic Studio, Max/MSP, Sound Loom, Bias Peak, and Native Instruments Komplete).
Video and listening facilities
Video and listening facilities are available to students in the library. The Listening Room, sponsored by Gramophone magazine, has a number of listening posts offering a full range of facilities. The library has a substantial collection of sound and video recordings, which can be borrowed and which are used for lectures and seminars.
