Eric Clarke will be a Faculty member at the Mannes Institute workshops on Music and the Mind
in New York between 26 and 29 June. Each year the Mannes Institute for Advanced Study in Music Theory runs
a series of intensive workshops on a specific topic in the study of
music, to which colleagues from around the world are invited to apply.
Each workshop, consisting of 15 selected participants, is led by an
invited Faculty member and takes place over three 3-hour intensive
discussion sessions. Eric Clarke is the only non-American member of
Faculty this year, leading a workshop on 'Music and Embodiment'. The
five other Faculty members are Robert Gjerdingen, David Huron, Fred
Lerdahl, Elizabeth West Marvin and Lawrence Zbikowski.
