Graduate Student Features on New CD Release
Simon Desbruslais (DPhil candidate, Christ Church) appears as soloist on the latest CD release from Oxford-based early music group Charivari Agréable.
Concerti Curiosi features a range of 18th-century concertos played on period instruments, directed from the harpsichord by Kah-Ming Ng (himself a DPhil graduate of the Oxford Music Faculty). Simon performs Concerto no.3 for natural trumpet by Johann Wilhelm Hertel (1727–89). The disc appears on the Signum Classics label.
