Music Faculty Keeps Place at Top of Times Table

Oxford Music No. 1 in Times Table

The Oxford Music Faculty has again been ranked first of all UK music departments and conservatoires in the latest edition of The Times Best University Guide 2011. Oxford University is also named the best university in the country.  Oxford Music topped the same table last year. It is the ninth year in a row that the University as a whole has headed the rankings.

The rankings are arrived at by a formula that takes into account student satisfaction, research quality, entry standards and graduate prospects.

UPDATE: 8 June 2010

The Guardian University Guide 2011 is published today. The Oxford Faculty remains the highest ranked university music department in the country. This table also shows that the Oxford Music Faculty tops the tables for student satisfaction: our undergradautes are by far the most satsified of any UK music students with their course, teaching and feedback.
