Radcliffe Chamber Music Residency
Oxford University’s Faculty of Music launches an exciting new chamber music residency for young artists with the support from The Radcliffe Trust.
Come hear some of the best and brightest of today’s chamber musicians in this public competition which selects the first holder of the Radcliffe Chamber Music Residency, 2012-2013.

Free admission - open to the public
Four groups have been chosen amongst a strong field of young professional
string quartets formed within the last five years. They will perform 25 minutes
from their chosen repertoire and provide trial coaching for a student ensemble.
Details of the repertoire will be posted here on the website in advance of the
competition.
The selection panel comprises Faculty postholders, Professor Laurence Dreyfus,
performer and musicologist, and Dr Martyn Harry, composer, along with external
adjudicator; the BBC Radio 3 personality Andrew McGregor. Student feedback will
be taken into account by the panel.
The winning ensemble will be in residence in Oxford for three periods over the
next two years, beginning in Hilary Term 2012. The result of the competition
will be announced here on the website.
