Talking Nielsen

This Saturday (5 March), Dr Daniel Grimley is in conversation with Tom Service about the music of Carl Nielsen on BBC Radio 3's flagship music magazine programme Music Matters. It will be broadcast at 12.15, and will be accessible for seven days via the BBC iPlayer.

Taking Dan's recently published book (Carl Nielsen and the Idea of Modernism) as its starting point, the discussion offers a critical re-evaluation of the composer's music and its literary and artistic contexts. Tom Service also talks to some of the great interpreters of Nielsen's music.
