Registration fees are divided into four price bands:

  • Standard Rate – £80.00
  • RMA Members – £72.00
  • Student – £50.00
  • Student RMA Members – £45.00

Students will need to provide proof of status. RMA members will need to provide their membership number.

The registration fee includes attendance at all conference papers and talks, coffee, lunch on two days, a ticket for the London Sinfonietta concert, and a drink at the concert reception.

RMA Student Bursaries

Thanks to a grant from the Royal Musical Association, a limited number of bursaries is available to support graduate students attending the conference. Graduate students wishing to be considered for such a bursary should email a letter to (no more than a single side of A4) outlining why attendance at the conference will be beneficial to their work, and setting out their financial need. The email should carry ‘RMA student bursary’ in the subject line, and should be sent to arrive no later than 24 February 2017.


Accommodation for all those presenting at the conference has been reserved at Jesus College and Lady Margaret Hall. All the relevant details have been sent to those presenting, any further enquiries should be sent to The deadline for reserved places for presenters has now passed, and the remainder of this accommodation can be booked by all. The conference will take place in the Faculty of Music, St Aldate’s, Oxford OX1 1DF, just south of Christ Church Meadow, about a 10-minute walk from the railway station.

The concert will take place in the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building, St Hilda’s College, Oxford OX4 1DY.
