Alumna Rose Campion awarded a fieldwork grant from the British Forum for Ethnomusicology

Faculty of Music alumna Rose Campion (MPhil Musicology, 2018) has been awarded a fieldwork grant from the British Forum for Ethnomusicology. Her project explores the creative and social processes of intercultural music programmes with forced migrants in North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany. Rose is currently pursuing her DPhil in Migration Studies here at the University of Oxford. Her co-supervisor is Professor Jason Stanyek of the Faculty of Music.

The British Forum for Ethnomusicology (BFE) aims to advance the study of musical life in its full richness and diversity. They provide a forum for engaging in debate and sharing the findings of research through our many conferences and study days and through the publication of the journal Ethnomusicology Forum, in association with Routledge. They offer awards to recognise outstanding scholarship, including the BFE Book Prize and grants and prizes for student members.

More information can be found on the BFE website.
