We are pleased to announce that Dr Sebastian Wedler, Departmental Lecturer and Convenor of Master’s Studies at the Faculty as well as Director of Studies for Music at Merton College, has been invited to give this year’s Anton Webern Lecture at the University of Basel, Switzerland.
Inaugurated in 2010, the Anton Webern Lectures are a distinguished lecture series organised by the Anton Webern Gesamtausgabe in conjunction with the Institute of Musicology at the University of Basel. The Lecture is delivered by an internationally renowned musicologist.
Dr Wedler will be speaking on the topic of ‘Auf der Suche nach Weberns Frühstil (In Search of Webern’s Early Style)’, on 23 November 2021 at 5.15pm UK time.
