Charlotte Lam is a soprano from Hong Kong currently reading Law at Hertford College, Oxford as a visiting student. Charlotte has obtained Associate and Licentiate Recital Diplomas in Singing with Distinction from Trinity College London in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Last year she won the Silver Award in The Manhattan International Young Artists Music Festival and was invited to perform in the winners’ concert at Carnegie Hall. In 2016 she was awarded Third Prize in the Wiener MusikSeminar Prof. Dichler-Competition at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Charlotte has earned numerous prizes in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, receiving the Nancy Yuen Trophy in 2017 and the Good Hope Singers Trophy in 2016, also winning First Places in Vocal Solo in the Open Classes of Foreign Language, Chinese Language, Oratorio Solo and Operatic Solo across 2016 and 2017.
The Faculty’s featured recital series for student performers sees a wide variety of performances throughout Full Term. With genres ranging from jazz and electric to classical solo recitals, there is plenty to choose from for an engaging lunchtime of music!
