Vocal and instrumental conductors and conducting are at the core of a multitude of musical endeavours across the globe, shaping musical practices and experiences in substantial ways. Scholars and practitioners have explored, and continue to explore, historical, philosophical, social and psychological aspects of conducting across a wide range of practices, however these viewpoints are rarely in dialogue. OCIICSC brings together these diverse perspectives, generating an international network of conducting scholars.
