Faculty professors will play alongside former Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes in a special charity concert on Sunday 19 May, 7pm at the Sheldonian Theatre. Eric Clarke, Gascia Ouzonian and Laura Tunbridge will play with Faculty students in an orchestra arranged and conducted by composer Luke Lewis. Gaz Coombes, a Mercury Prize-nominated artist, returns to his home city of Oxford after UK and US tours to perform a bespoke set to mark the 350th anniversary of Christopher Wren’s iconic building. All proceeds from the concert will be donated to two local charities. Yellow Submarine Charity supports people with learning difficulties. The Young Women’s Music Project (YWMP) will open the show. Tickets sold out within days of the concert’s announcement.
