Graduate access programmes now open for 2021 applications

Over 50 paid research internships will be available through UNIQ+ remote internships and the Wellcome Biomedical Vacation Scholarships (Wellcome BVS) this summer.

Designed for talented individuals from areas and groups under-represented at postgraduate level in the UK, these internships offer research experience with Oxford’s world-class academic community through six-week research projects in a wide range of subject areas.

UNIQ+ Digital will also offer over 100 places on a free, flexible and fully online programme of mentoring, events and digital content, connecting participants to our research community for insight into graduate study and support in making an application.

One of the UNIQ+ internship projects will be supervised by the Music Faculty’s Departmental Lecturer Thomas Hodgson, and you can find out more about his project on the UNIQ+ page of the website.

Eligible students will need to be UK-resident and studying in at least the second year of (or have graduated from) an undergraduate course in the UK or Ireland. They will also need to meet at least one of the key eligibility criteria from a list designed to identify applicants who are less likely to access postgraduate education due to socio-economic and financial circumstances.

Applications are now open. The deadline is 12 midday on Friday 19 March 2021.
