My current compositional research explores the potential for performative nonlinearity in virtual reality score environments, as well as experimenting with paper-based forms of graphic notation. A more populated source of information on my work exists at jonathanpackham.com.
Area of proposed thesis
My written thesis concerns possible overlaps between the “open form” compositions of Earle Brown and Christian Wolff and participatory and spatial art practices of the 20th and 21st centuries.
