Professor Dan Grimley and Dr Joanna Bullivant have launched two new digital resources relating to the music of Frederick Delius (painting left by Ernest Procter (c) National Portrait Gallery London). In a collaboration between the Faculty of Music, the British Library and the Delius Trust, they have created the Delius Catalogue of Works. This free online resource is a complete, up-to-date and fully searchable thematic catalogue of Delius’s music.
They have also created a permanent Delius exhibition as part of the new British Library webspace Discovering Music. This features original manuscripts, early editions, concert programmes, recordings, photographs and ephemera related to Delius, in addition to expert articles, teaching resources and commentary on the items. The Delius exhibition can be accessed here, and Discovering Music is located here.
Both resources will allow students, performers and members of the public new and fully accessible ways of engaging with Delius’s music.
These projects have been supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
