Laura Tunbridge to appear on BBC Radio 3

Laura Tunbridge, Professor of Music and Henfrey Fellow and Tutor at St Catherine’s College, will be appearing on a programme about Ludwig van Beethoven on BBC Radio 3 on Thursday 21st December at 9.00am. Presented by Melyvn Bragg, the programme will include interviews with a panel of specialists also including John Deathridge and Erica Buurman. It focuses on both on Beethoven’s life and on his musical style. Listen in either live or via the BBC Iplayer radio.

Laura joined the Music Faculty in 2014, having previously been Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester (2004-2014) and Lecturer at the University of Reading (2002-2004). She is the editor of the Journal of the Royal Musical Association (2013-2018) and in 2017 she was elected to the Directorium of the International Musicological Society. Laura’s research has concentrated on German Romanticism, with a particular interest in reception through criticism, performance, and composition.
