DPhil student Dionysios Kyropoulos has recently finished working on a radio documentary on the musical life of Samuel Pepys and his household musician Cesare Morelli, which will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4.

As a bass singer and amateur lutenist like Pepys, Dionysios Kyropoulos found himself uniquely placed as a stage director and researcher to interpret the music Morelli wrote for his master.
At the heart of the programme is a concert of Morelli’s works, made possible by Dionysios, and heard for the first time since the compositions were played and sung by Pepys himself.
