An interdisciplinary conference hosted by TORCH (The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities) and the CPAGH (Colonial Ports and Global History) Network, is being co-organised by Music Postdoctoral Fellow Yvonne Liao. ‘Sensing Colonial Ports and Global History: Agency, Affect, Temporality’ will take place at St Luke’s Chapel (Radcliffe Humanities) on 2 and 3 May 2019. One of the two keynote speakers is musicologist Dr Benjamin Walton (Cambridge). The conference will include a number of music-related papers and speakers.
