Dr Benjamin Skipp

The Academic Administrator is responsible for all matters relating to current student’s course including lecture lists and exams for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. He is also responsible for prospective students looking to apply to the Faculty of Music and their admissions.

Benjamin Skipp is both a performer and musicologist with particular interests in minimalism, contemporary music (including theories of popular music), film music and performance practice. He teaches history courses, Analysis, Keyboard Skills, Musical Thought and Scholarship, and has supervised undergraduate theses on Arvo Pärt and Charles Ives.

Research interests in minimalism, musical postmodernism and critical theory.
