For the first event in festival which combines with Somerville College Choir, we present the Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, the last of his "sins of old age".  Neither small nor particularly solemn, this 90 min mix between a mass and a comedy opera features fabulous arias for the four soloists and lengthy and silly fugues for the choir.

The soloists and pianists are all former students at Oxford, embarking on a career in music.
