Chamber Music 'Speed Dating'

Open to all Oxford University students.

Meet in the Faculty of Music Reception.

We are thrilled to invite you to an afternoon of music-making at our annual chamber music 'speed dating' event. The afternoon is meant to be a relaxed opportunity for you to play along with your peers in a fast-paced ‘speed dating’ environment. You will be guided by members of the Castalian String Quartet (our Ensemble in Residence) and faculty of music students, as you embark on an afternoon of music match-making. We hope by the end of the afternoon, you will have met some friends, and hopefully formed an ensemble. We will be taking over the various teaching spaces in the Faculty, giving you as much playing time as possible. Whether you are able to make the whole afternoon, or just drop in for a short session, we would be delighted to welcome you!

If you would like to sign-up, please use the link above and indicate that you wish to attend this event.

Important Info: Please bring along your own music and parts. If you have an iPad, please do bring this with you as you can download music from IMSLP, which is a wonderful resource for a good selection of chamber music.

If you have any questions about the afternoon, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Matthew at oums.accessandoutreach@gmail.com.
