The Coull Quartet, formed in 1974 by students of the Royal Academy of Music, is recognised as one of Britain’s leading string quartets. Acclaimed for their precision, intonation and balance, they have performed extensively across Britain, Europe, the USA, and on tours to India, China, South America and Australia. Since the mid-1980s they have made over 30 highly regarded recordings, ranging from the complete Mendelssohn and Schubert quartets to major works of 20th-century and contemporary British chamber music.
