Join us for the second event in EXMO's season of Natural Envelopes. Juliet Fraser and Mark Knoop play the music of Lara Agar and Laurence Crane. JULIET and MARK have been performing as a duo for over a decade and, during that time, have commissioned new works from Matthew Shlomowitz, Bernhard Lang, Michael Finnissy, Lara Agar and Laurence Crane. Their recordings have been released on Kairos, Hat Hut and Another Timbre. Øyvind Torvund’s Plans for Future Operas was written for them in 2022 and premiered at Munich Biennale. They have since performed it at Borealis Festival in Bergen, MaerzMusik in Berlin, Darmstadt Ferienkurse, Arter gallery in Istanbul, Aspekte Festival in Salzburg and Only Connect Festival in Oslo. Mark always wants Juliet to sing Debussy; Juliet always wants Mark to play Krenek. They agree on other things.
