"wonderful clarity and precision" The Gramophone about Cristian Sandrin

"a thrilling and vibrant performance" about the English Chamber Orchestra

Join Cristian Sandrin, an outstanding pianist we are privileged to have as our co-Artistic Director, and the renowned English Chamber Orchestra Ensemble in a fresh presentation of Mozart's beloved piano concertos K414, K415 and K449, performed as  piano quintets. Cristian is blazing a trail by shedding a new light on classical works. Also returning to the Kettner Concerts series is the chamber ensemble of the famous English Chamber Orchestra. Together they will reveal all the spell-binding complexity of these masterpieces of the concerto repertoire in the intimate setting of one of Europe’s oldest concert halls: the Holywell Music Room in the heart of the city of Oxford.

Cristian Sandrin has won many awards, including the Roslyn Tureck Special Prize for the best interpretation of Bach at the 2019 International Piano Competition in Albuquerque NM. Critics on both sides of the Atlantic have praised him for his immaculate technique, crystalline clarity and mature interpretations. He has performed at famous venues across Europe from the Salle Cortot Paris to the Salle Manuel de Falla in Madrid, the Kleiner Konzerthaus Berlin, La Fenice Theatre Venice, the Polish National Philharmonic Hall Warsaw and the BeethovenHaus Bonn.
