Free entry, registration required.

Professor Wendy Gadian, a Musical Director with over three-decades of professional experience, leads the first of three workshops for anyone interested in how the music in musical theatre rehearsed, taught and perfected.
Absolutely no experience of musical theatre is required – we’ll be discussing the role of a ‘Musical Director’ (the person who leads the musical aspects of a production or performance) from the ground up.

The second workshop in the series will follow on the 24th November.

Wendy Gadian’s career as a musical director has spanned the last three decades and has included working with many of the UK’s foremost theatre performers, choreographers, writers and directors including Sam Mendes, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Maria Friedman and Clive Rowe. For the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, she established the BA (Hons) Acting Musical Theatre Course, founded the ALW Foundation Associate Musical Director scheme before going on to co-found Ladies in the Stave, a networking and mentoring scheme for female identifying musical directors.
