The title for this concert is a line taken from one of the most iconic song cycles, Beethoven's An die ferne Geliebte Opus 98. In this recital, students from the Music Faculty present music created by mostly women relating the feminine-experience in societies and genres usually re-imaged on their behalf by men. Here, the music is there to speak for themselves in their own words.
This concert forms part of the 'RETUNE Festival', taking place between the 26th February and 8th March - A festival celebrating the commitment, courage and creativity of underrepresented music-makers.
