The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat, based on the case study of the same name by Oliver Sacks, is a one-act chamber opera by Michael Nyman. It tells the story of Dr. P, who suffers from visual agnosia (a form of Alzheimer's) and uses music to facilitate his everyday life. This performance will be semi-staged, and all proceeds will go to Alzheimer's Society.
