A first! The festival is proud to be collaborating with the Faculty of Music of the University of Oxford for a performance inspired by the festival’s theme, with some of the most brilliant young musicians in Oxford.
From Bach’s Partita for Violin No. 2, to Piazzolla’s Tango Étude No. 3 for solo violin; and from Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin to exciting contemporary repertoire for the horn, and finishing off with popular music hits, this recital launches the collaboration between the city’s festival and the city’s music faculty.
