This bold, high-octane adaptation of Hamlet is an analysis of the titular character: how and why he works and behaves. Hamlet becomes a more relatable character than ever, presented as a contemporary man in search of himself, faced with a sea of hate and selfishness from those around him. There is nothing muted about these characters: the extremes of human nature are realised through a deep look at the subconscious.
