Anneka Vetter is the winner of the Davison Young Musician Foundation Recital Award 2025. A third-year undergraduate student, Anneka is reading music at Oriel College, Oxford. Before coming to Oxford, she studied for seven years at the Royal College of Music Junior Department. In her time at Oxford, Anneka has immersed herself in the university’s music scene, holding a choral exhibition at Merton. As a soloist, she has recently sung with the Britten Sinfonia and New Chamber Opera. Last year, Anneka made her operatic debut with Oxford Student Opera, singing the role of Zita in Gianni Schicchi. She has also appeared on stage as a soloist in oratorios such as Vivaldi’s Gloria, Bach’s Magnificat and Haydn’s Creation. As well as performing as a soloist and in choirs in the classical repertory, Anneka also enjoys singing jazz with the Oxford Gargoyles.
