All Souls College has appointed Professor Nomi Dave as the Evans-Pritchard Lecturer for 2026-27. The lectures are due to take place in Trinity Term 2027 and Professor Dave will also participate in other workshops and events as part of the lectureship.
Remembering John Whenham
The Faculty of Music is sorry to learn of the passing of alumnus Professor John Whenham (New College, 1968). Following completion of his DPhil at Oxford, Professor Whenham went on to spend over 40 years at the University of Birmingham. The University of Birmingham has published an obituary celebrating his life and career.
