As part of the Oxford Festival of the Arts, our Music students present a mixed recital of works for the chamber music ensemble, the musical salon. These were, at the time, daring pieces that encoded challenges to the societal norms and cultural practices of its time, and through their pioneering vision signalled the cusp of upcoming change.
