Performing under the name, ‘Jael’, Yvonne is a Singer, Songwriter and Wordsmith who poetically fuses experiences from her life in London with her deep, African roots. Often likened to Erykah Badu and Asa, her influences include Badu, Fela Kuti and Bob Marley. With a gift for storytelling and songwriting, her evocative lyrics and vocal finesse expose a truly empathic artist whose atmospheric vocals impact her listeners. Graduating with a 1st Class (Hons) and Masters (Dist.) from the London College of Music, Jael is an Artist whose passion and dedication have led her to become a well-versed and sought-after musician. Her last 3 releases premiered on BBC Intro Essex – the 1st being named "Track of the Week". Amassing 1M+ streams on streaming platforms, Jael has collaborated with acts such as Blue Lab Beats, Aaron London and Boadi and has received an abundance of positive reviews from platforms such as NotJustOk, Irie Magazine and BBC Introducing Essex.
