Musicians from Hammer & Bronze (contemporary gamelan ensemble)  will workshop seven new pieces for Javanese gamelan instruments written by Master's composition students from the Faculty of Music. Professor Martyn Harry will convene the workshops, examining the process behind writing for instruments from another tradition with a different tuning system, and in some cases combining them with European instruments or electronics.

With Rob Campion (bonang, gendèrs), Zack Di Lello (bonang, slenthem, saron, gongs), Isabelle Carré (bonangs, peking, flute, contrabass flute), Tom Bruges (guitar). In collaboration with the Bate Collection of Musical Instruments.
