Come along and join the Bate Collective for their first concert of the year. This concert forms part of the Faculty of Music's Lunchtime Recital Series, in collaboration with Magdalen College Music Society.

Tarquinio Merula : ‘Ballo detto Gennaro’ from Canzoni overo Sonate concertate per chiesa e camera, op. 12 (1637)

Giovanni Antonio Rigatti :  ‘Nisi Dominus a3’ from Messa e salmi (1640)

Giacomo Carissimi : ‘Plorate, filii Israel’ – the final scene of the oratorio Jephte (ca.1650)

Plus organ works by Merula and dances by Girolamo Frescobaldi and Gasparo Zanetti
